That’s it!

To mark the seventh annual National Day of Racial Healing, the Freeport of the NAACP, in collaboration with numerous community leaders and organizations, commemorates the celebration on Saturday, January 13, in a day of events at the Freeport Public Library. The public is invited to hear speaker, participate in discussions, view art displays, and much more.

“This is an opportunity for people and organizations to come together in their common humanity and take action to create a more just and equitable world” stated Patricia Norman, President of the NAACP Freeport Branch. “Racism impacts us all, whether we are aware of it or not.”  Through this event, community members build relationships, trust, and collective power toward positive change.

With the theme “Why Racial Healing Matters,” the event begin at 9:30 a.m. on January 13 at the Freeport Public Library, 100 E. Douglas Street, Freeport.
