Here’s a brief paragraph for Branch members to say to others when talking with people about why they became members of our Branch and to our purpose. It is not necessity that members memorize this paragraph, but, it is important to express the spirit of the underlined words in however you say it, using your own words.
“I joined the NAACP because we work for justice and equity for all people. We are an inclusive organization and stand against racial injustice and support access to quality education, health care and economic opportunity for everyone. Right here in Freeport and Stephenson County.”
